In a nutshell, I cannot say enough positively about C.D. Smith- they are careful and relentless, and we work together to solve problems every day. As far as I am concerned, C.D. Smith operates their business with the highest level of ethics that I have run into in the entire construction industry.

51,000 square feet
Cost: $ 7 Million
Architect: Bray Associates
C.D. Smith provided construction services for the United States GSA, constructing a 51,000 square foot office building located in West Milwaukee.
The building, which houses about 45 Department of Justice employees, was designed and constructed with a significant emphasis on security. A collaborative effort between C.D. Smith and special agents overseeing the building’s safety aspects ensured that this facility achieved each of the owner’s goals and objectives. Security features include a high security exterior fence; controlled electronic card access doors with continuous monitoring; special areas for evidence, weapons and ammunition; bullet proof doors, walls and glass; and a highly secured holding/processing area with private vehicle access. The finished project provides an office that facilitates enhanced communication and teamwork within a safe and efficient environment.
Special features include large, educational training areas; a fitness room with showers and lockers; large break and conference areas; and an enclosed parking structure. Large protective glass windows allow for significant natural lighting.
