C.D. Smith Construction partnered with Children’s Wisconsin to renovate outpatient, multi-disciplinary and sports therapy clinics across Milwaukee and Cedarburg. The projects focused on creating safe, welcoming and functional healthcare environments while maintaining ongoing patient care within active clinical settings.
We believe the spaces we build have a lasting impact on the health and well-being of our communities. A recent partnership with Children’s Wisconsin reflects that commitment, delivering safe, welcoming and functional environments for patients, families and care teams through three important renovation projects.
The renovation of approximately 5,500 square feet of outpatient clinic space at the Mental & Behavioral Health Clinic in Milwaukee created a brighter, more welcoming environment for patients and care providers.
Working within an active hospital and clinical setting, the project prioritized safety, efficiency and minimal disruption to ongoing care.
The updated waiting room, nurse station and clinical spaces now offer a more functional and supportive atmosphere. Self-perform crews led demolition, framing, drywall installation and finish carpentry while managing the overall construction process.
At Children’s Wisconsin’s main Milwaukee campus, a 6,500-square-foot renovation of the Multi-Disciplinary Clinic refreshed the space to better support specialized care delivery.
The updated environment provides clinicians with tools and layouts that support collaboration, efficiency and coordinated care for patients and families.
In Cedarburg, the Children’s Sports Therapy Clinic was developed to support young athletes as they recover, heal and return to the activities they love.
The facility includes state-of-the-art therapy spaces designed to support rehabilitation, movement and long-term wellness in a welcoming environment.
Each of these renovation projects reflects a shared commitment to creating healthcare environments where care teams can do their best work and patients feel supported throughout their experience.
