As an effort to reduce leased office space and replace the 60-year old Department of Transportation headquarters, the State of Wisconsin approved the construction of the Hill Farms State Office Building. The new facility is one of the largest public-private partnerships to be successfully completed in the State of Wisconsin and serves as a home office for approximately 2,000 State employees from 10 different State agencies. It has enabled the State of Wisconsin to combine 29 offices and eliminate 15 leased office spaces.
