--- title: Mercury Marine NVH Technical Center Industrial Construction Project description: C.D. Smith Construction Manager built Mercury Marine's industrial building/testing facility for marine engine testing of noise, vibration & harshness. --- [Your Industry ](https://www.cdsmith.com/your-industry) # [Mercury Marine NVH Technical Center Industrial Construction Project](https://www.cdsmith.com/your-industry/mercury-marine-nvh-technical-center) Written by [Sample HubSpot User](https://www.cdsmith.com/your-industry/author/sample-hubspot-user) | Apr 28, 2020 3:11:00 PM The two-story, steel and precast building is used by the client for engine testing as it relates to noise, vibration and harshness. Because of the nature of the testing requirements, this facility is comprised of two separate buildings connected by an isolation/expansion joint. The two testing chambers need to be completely isolated from the balance of the building. This is key to providing true and accurate engine test data for Mercury Marine, where they produce the quietest and most peaceful engines. ### Features include:  - Dynamic Testing Bays (for boats up to 50’ in length) - Listening Room - (2) Hemi-anechoic Chambers - 10,000-gallon Tanks Mimicking Marine Environment   #### Follow C.D.
