C.D. Smith Construction was selected as the construction manager for a green-built micro-hospital near Milwaukee Mitchel Airport. In line with current trends in healthcare, Nutex Health is developing smaller-scale hospitals that provide the same essential services as larger facilities, expanding access to convenient and personalized emergency medical care. This $15.4 million, 22,345 square-foot facility features eight emergency room beds, eight private inpatient rooms, one procedure room, an in-house pharmacy, and laboratory and imaging services, including MRI, CT scan, X-ray, and Ultrasound.
Also, a 69-stall parking lot wraps the building.
In addition to preconstruction planning and self-performing concrete and masonry, C.D. Smith was able to drive the project schedule during the foundation portion of the project in an attempt to complete the job ahead of time.
