The Charmant Hotel

C.D. Smith Construction was hired as Construction Manager for Charmant Hotel, a renovation project to the Funke candy factory, originally built in the 1890’s. Architectural details of the original building were preserved including maple wood flooring, wood beams and exposed brick. Some say these materials still emanate the sweet smell of candy.

This 69-room, five-story property is the first independent luxury boutique hotel in the area. The name “Charmant” means “charming” in French and also refers to the name of the premium line of chocolates once sold by Funke Candy.
