C.D. Smith provided General Contracting services for Concourse C at General Mitchell International Airport. The addition represents a 157,000 square feet expansion focused on passenger safety and comfort.

Special challenges existed blending the two functions and meeting the Transportation Security Administrations requirements. Working with space, security and timeline constraints required a committed team effort to overcome any potential challenges.

The concourse, which features stone clad walls and terrazzo floors was built to withstand very heavy amounts of traffic. This project was completed in July of 2007, however C.D. Smith continues ongoing construction projects at General Mitchell today.

Features include:

  • 157,000 square feet expansion
  • Stone clad walls
  • Terrazzo floors
