C.D. Smith provided Design-Build services for the construction of Kondex Corporation’s manufacturing plant and corporate offices.
Kondex is a manufacturer of cutting parts and related equipment for the Agricultural, Turf, and Lawn & Garden industries. The building was designed to be a showcase for their manufacturing processes while offering a comfortable and bright work environment for their plant and office personnel. The building includes unique features such as an on-site primary power substation, employee amenities and the entire plant is air conditioned.
The project is an example of extraordinary collaboration between the owner, engineer and C.D. Smith, meeting a fast-tracked schedule with minimal change orders.
