C.D. Smith provided construction management services to The School District of North Fond du Lac Friendship Learning Center. Self-performed work for the project included concrete, masonry, steel, precast, demolition and carpentry.
The school was designed to include the World of Friendship. The project includes 4 new learning lands that serve as class levels, a 3-station field house, new support offices and a great new entrance. The original Friendship Learning Center was renovated to house early childhood - 1st grade students as well the home for a new music room, new art room, expanded lunch area, District Offices and an indoor early childhood playing area.

🏗️ On October 4, 2023, stakeholders from Bray Architects, C.D. Smith Construction, and the School District of North Fond du Lac gathered to break ground on construction for Bessie Allen Middle School and Horace Mann High School.
👷♀️👷♂️ CATCH-UP QUICK: Additions and expansions to the high school and middle school include:
» Horace Mann High School: Cafeteria addition, weight room addition, and classroom/collaboration addition.
» Bessie Allen Middle School: Classroom addition to further expand the learning environments.

These additions and expansions will increase capacity to meet the needs of a growing student population while providing more opportunities for collaboration, creativity and innovation in modern learning environments.
