City of Eau Claire Water Treatment Facility

C.D. Smith has begun construction of the City of Eau Claire Water Treatment Facility Improvements project. As part the $11 million upgrade to the Water Treatment Facility the first step included the removal of existing geodesic dome covers. Last week, we removed the first cover as part of Phase 1 of the project which will be completed over the winter of 2019/2020. After removal of the geodesic dome, it will be demolished down to dumpster size pieces and the aluminum will be recycled. The South Tank currently being upgraded is scheduled to be back in service next summer, with Phase 2 beginning in the fall of 2020.
