C.J. Smith Gives Back

“You can’t have a great community without involved community members, that’s why I give back," C.J. Smith tells about his #iGIVEback experience.

"I have always had an interest in education. Growing up, I was fortunate to have a space that fostered my passion for learning. Now, especially having kids of my own, I want to help build environments where students feel safe, creative, engaged, and have the opportunity to acquire fundamental life skills. That’s why I got involved with the St. Mary’s Springs Academy Foundation as well as the Fond du Lac STEM Academy. Both organizations help promote and develop Fond du Lac’s youth.” C.J. sits on the Board of Directors of both these organizations and assists with fundraising efforts and strategic initiatives.

On April 30th, STEM hosted its 4th annual Design Challenge Showcase, which highlights learning and achievement by featuring student-driven solutions to community problems submitted by local businesses. A noteworthy event for St. Mary’s Springs Academy Foundation is their annual “Swing Fore Springs and Summer Fling” which is a casual, fun, summer fundraising event held in July.
