The second phase of a four-year project is coming to a close at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Babcock Hall.
The renovation expanded Babcock Hall’s existing footprint while dairy production continued.
The scope of work included the modernization of the dairy plant, a new ice cream maker, more freezer space and an improved raw milk receiving bay. New piping, pumps and valves will move the milk and dairy products through the plant more efficiently.
Built in the 1950s, this is the first facelift Babcock Hall Dairy Plant has received.
C.D. Smith Construction was the general contractor for the construction project, including renovations and upgrades to the adjacent Center of Dairy Research [CDR].
