Ground was broken for the Forensic Science and Protective Medicine Facility in November 2023. The project is being developed in partnership with the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The development of this cutting-edge facility will house the State of Wisconsin Milwaukee Crime Lab, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Milwaukee County Office of Emergency Management. This state-of-the-art, four-story structure will also accommodate the Organ Procurement Organization and Tissue Bank of Versiti Wisconsin, currently a partner on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus.

Construction is underway, evident by the cranes and heavy equipment dotting the skyline as construction progresses on the 7.6-acre site at 9400 W. Doyne Avenue, Wauwatosa, WI.
