Lindsey Petersen GIVES BACK
"I believe in paying it forward, that's what my mom always taught me." Lindsey Petersen tells her #iGIVEback story. "It's simply the right thing to do and I want to teach my kids that."
Lindsey and her husband are members of the Campbellsport Area Jaycees. For the last four years, she and her husband have helped with the Jaycees' annual Fisheree fundraiser, which is a free youth ice fishing tournament. This year, over 150 kids participated in the family event. Through sponsorships and donations, the Jaycees are able to support youth sporting events in the community.
Lindsey is also a volunteer coach for the Campbellsport Athletic Association (CAA) tee-ball team. "I think tee-ball teaches great life skills. The kids learn to be a part of a team, have fun, and learn coordination skills. This helps them if they want to play softball, baseball, or other sports down the road," Lindsey explains.
Lindsey's 7-year-old daughter is one of the young athletes on her tee-ball team. "I think it is really important to be actively involved with your kids' interests and show them your support. They see your involvement and I believe it makes them become better people and involved in their communities when they grow up.”
