Project Update: Renaissance Milwaukee
Construction for the Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel, located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin is staying on schedule to open July 2020. The tower/hotel portion is an existing 12 story office building constructed originally in 1972. Drywall is set to begin mid-November, and MEP trades are working hard to get their inspections completed on time. The drywall & finishes are sequenced top-down for the tower. Exterior finishes are started early November and site work to the north parking lot is nearly complete
The restaurant/ballroom addition has been structurally topped off with roofing preparing to start. Exterior framing and sheathing are currently ongoing and we will be watertight at the addition in mid-December.
The hotel is staying on track to open just in time for the summer Milwaukee 2020 Democratic National Convention. An early July opening date would be roughly 1 month ahead of the original schedule. The expedited schedule could not be possible without the hard work and dedication of Project Engineer Alex Venuti, Senior Project Manager Jason Bos, Superintendent Bob Casper, Ironworker Superintendent Paul Loomans, our Operations team and Director of Safety Joe Pausha.
