UW-PLATTEVILLE BRIDGEWAY COMMONS
Immediately following the Rountree Commons project, C.D. Smith Construction collaborated with the UW-Platteville Real Estate Foundation on the design, development, financing and construction of a new residence hall and dining center for the campus.
Special attention was given to minimize disturbances to existing campus buildings during the project. This included providing a temporary pedestrian trail to accommodate students’ class routes. The sidewalk design for the site included a review of the UW-Platteville Circulation and Access Study and accommodated the future design of the main sidewalk corridor. The completed project features a visually appealing ADA accessible ramp system, blending into the landscape furnished with plants, flowers and native vegetation.
The site also includes a bioswale, or linear channels designed to remove debris and pollution from waste water, in compliance with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) storm water requirements.

- First Floor Student Dining Center
