Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance
The new 35,000 square foot academic building for Silver Lake College (now known as Holy Family College) was constructed to house the music department and provide a multi-purpose performance space.The programmatic components of the Music Department include a 120-250 seat recital hall with stage, studios for band, choral, piano/keyboard, computer, a music classroom, small recital, and small and large practice rooms, faculty offices for the music department, support space such as storage, conference room(s) and lounge.
In addition to the building, outdoor gathering spaces and connection nodes and pathways leading from this facility to the new Event Center and the main college building are included in the project. A vehicular drop off roadway leading from the secondary roadway to the front entrance to the building is also be included in the project.
