The Kohler School District gathered Monday, March 13 with families, students, and local dignitaries to celebrate the official opening and ribbon cutting for the new public/school library.
Welcome remarks were offered by Kohler School Superintendent Lisa Greene, Megan Drevline and Erin Coppersmith from the Public Library, Matt Wolfert of Bray Architects, Will Theisen from C.D. Smith followed by closing remarks from Tom Schnettler from the Village of Kohler.
PROJECT FEATURES:
C.D. Smith Construction was hired as Construction Manager by the Kohler School District along with Bray Architects as the designer for the project following the District's successful April 2021 referendum for $20,140,000.
» The project includes 17,448 SF of additions and 24,348 SF of renovations to existing education and athletic facilities.
» Renovations are underway for an updated Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math [STEAM] classroom.
» The district-wide facility improvement project is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2023.
