C.D. Smith provided construction services for Building B4 of RiverHeath Apartments. The development combines multi-unit housing, office and retail into a dense core with green space, or heath, in between the buildings and the river.

The U.S. Green Building Council accepted the project into a nationwide pilot program for Neighborhood Development. The river will provide clean, sustainable energy for the residences, offices and shops on site. This clean power is just the beginning of the building’s sustainability. Design elements include innovative stormwater management systems, geothermal heating and cooling using the energy from the river, efficient appliances, green roofs, community gardens and more.
