C.D. Smith supports many local organizations through sponsorship programs and monetary donations, not only in our community, but also in the communities with which we work. In the past 10 years, we have donated over $4 million to businesses and organizations throughout the state of Wisconsin, from small community clubs to large non-profit organizations.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to building and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children in need. Their motto: No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!^®

When we learned the number of kids who experience “bed-lessness” in our communities, we knew we had to step up. Building the future is at the heart of what we do at C.D. Smith. That’s why we knew this was one of the causes we could wrap our hearts and hammers around.

Community

Building community is the foundation of our organization. By supporting community initiatives, economic growth and development, we feel privileged to help ensure our employees have solid places to live, work, volunteer, serve and play.

Education

Education is fundamental to the future of our organization and the communities we live and work in. We support educational opportunities from grade school tours, high school technical and engineering programs, to college scholarships and continued education. Education helps our employees and our communities adapt and grow with the ever-changing world around us.

Services

We employ and actively recruit employees who have proudly served in the armed forces. We are honored to show them our continued support through charitable giving and volunteer work with numerous veteran and active military programs. We also support public services including community police departments and fire departments.

Professional & Trade

Professional and trade associations help our employees be active, informed members of our industry as well as support economic growth and development within our communities. Active memberships give us the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with business partners and community leaders.

Health & Wellness

Healthy lifestyles build stronger communities. From run/walk and cycling events to mental health and sexual assault outreach programs, we support community initiatives that are good for the mind, body and soul.

Youth & Family

Whether it is youth sports, extracurricular events, or religious programs we support building strong, healthy families. We recognize the importance youth sports and extracurricular programs play in child development and life skills, as well as the value church programs can bring to our people and our community.

How We Get Involved

C.D. Smith encourages its employees to be active members of their communities. Many of our employees serve as board members, officials, or regular volunteers for local organizations that they support.

Furthermore, we recognize the importance of giving back to the communities in which we live, work and play. In order to support the charitable efforts of our employees, C.D. Smith matches employee contributions, dollar for dollar, to an approved nonprofit organization of their choice.
