At C.D. Smith Construction, we build relationships - with our clients, our communities, our fellow team members and everyone we touch. We're getting it done right by treating people the way we'd want to be treated by putting others first. Masons Bill Becker and Curtis Wedell demonstrate this perfectly. They're currently working in close quarters at the St. Francis Friary in Milwaukee, in situations where teamwork is needed to determine who goes first and how to work together best. Being adaptable and building relationships is important when working closely with coworkers, especially in tight spaces.

Bill Becker joined C.D. Smith in 2020 with 25 years of experience. When asked what he enjoys most about his work, Bill stated, “I like restoring the history of old buildings through stone and brickwork. There is something new to do every day.” The St. Francis Friary certainly has a beautiful and unique history to uncover.

Curtis Wedell has been with C.D. Smith for seven years and has 33 years of experience as a mason tender. When not at work, Curtis spends his time with family and friends. His wife, two daughters and two grandchildren make life extra sweet. He also enjoys street riding and snowmobiling.
Thank you, Curtis and Bill, for sharing your stories and choosing to bring your depth of masonry experience to C.D. Smith. You set a great example of adaptability while building relationships for getting it done right!
