C.D. Smith Construction Team Member Spotlight on Project Manager Logan Crull

Project Manager Logan Crull is in the C.D. Smith team member spotlight with a collaborative mindset for overcoming challenges and finding solutions for project success.

C.D. Smith Construction Project Manager Logan Krull

When Logan was in high school, most of his district's buildings had reached the end of their life cycle. "I had the opportunity to work with the summer maintenance crew when significant renovations and new construction were taking place," he shares. "I got to know the construction manager and was able to witness all the work and planning that went into those summers to make sure the students and faculty could start the school year the following fall. That fascinated me and was what ultimately led me to choose a career in construction."

Logan joined C.D. Smith in 2017 as a Project Engineer and worked his way through the CDS Construction Management Career Path as Assistant Project Manager and now is a Project Manager. When asked what he enjoys about construction, Logan shares, "No day is the same. Each new challenge allows me to collaborate with different people to find solutions and make a project successful."

"It is great to see the end-user utilize and enjoy a finished space at the end of the project," Logan continues. "That sense of accomplishment and pride is always a great feeling."

Logan stays busy, actively splitting his time between projects. He currently oversees UW-Madison Sellery Hall, Kettle Moraine Springs State Fish Hatchery, UW-Madison Steam Utility Replacement and a few smaller projects. His past project portfolio includes UW-Madison Witte Hall, MMSD Pump Station 7, Nine Springs and a few miscellaneous small buildouts in and around Madison.

A native Illinoisan, Logan's favorite sports team is the Chicago Bulls. He now lives in Sun Prairie with his fiancée. "We are excited to celebrate our wedding next July with our families. Both our parents and one of my sisters live in Illinois. We take plenty of trips back home to see everyone, especially our niece and nephews."

Outside of work and planning for a wedding, Logan enjoys playing guitar, golfing as much as possible, and going to the lake most summer weekends. He has a small collection of guitars and hopes to learn a few more instruments. "My personal goals include fixing my lawnmower, winning a fantasy football league, running a marathon and traveling to Europe," Logan shares.

Thank you, Logan, for adapting to new challenges and embracing a collaborative approach to getting things done right! We appreciate your dedication to building relationships with clients and project teams for proudly representing Who We Are!
